Overview

This project consisted of the creation of 4 different stations to be combined together to create an interactive retail display. As shown above, these four stations were to be laid out together, giving the user a variety of different experiences. These stations utilize a variety of different technologies to provide users with a different experience at each one.

Station 1 - Interactive Retail Display

The interactive retail display had users utilizing a leap motion sensor. A sensor placed on a flat surface in which the user is able to place/wave their hand overtop of this sensor to control/move the product that is shown on the screen. Using a variety of different motions the user is able to learn more about the product shown in a more interactive way than just looking at the screen. When the user was finished at this station, product cards were present as a physical takeaway.

Station 2 - Interactive Catalogue

The interactive catalogue is a different way to learn about a given product. This station alowed users to physically pickup an item located on a table infront of the screen. When an item is picked up, information regarding that specific item is shown to the user on screen. Additional information can be accessed by a further interaction on the users part by presing a button located infront of the item on the table itself.

Station 3 - Promotional Videos

The promotional videos made were to run on loop at all times towards the middle of the 3 other stations. These videos showcase the ideals and message that North Pine Outdoors whishes to convey with each of their products.

Station 4 - Touchscreen Ordering Application

The final station is the touchscreen ordering application. With this station, users are able to browse through clothing products utilizing an on screen model using a touchscreen. Users may design an outfit they like, make changes to the sizes and colour of the items they selected and lastly order these items and recieve a physical receipt to bring to a collections counter.
